When
it comes to education, some dentists stop with Dental
School. But not Dr. Amason. Dental School teaches
dentists to fix broken teeth. He wanted to learn how
to restore a person to complete dental health. So
he looked for the most prestigious center for continuing
dental education in the world. In 1987 he made his
way to Key Biscayne, Florida to attend the L.D.
Pankey Institute.
At the Pankey Institute, the emphasis is on the patient,
not just on the tooth. Here Dr. Amason became a master
in the treatment of TMJ (jaw joints) muscles, bones,
and teeth that people use when they chew, talk and
smile. Most importantly, he learned that beneath all
those physical mechanics, there is a real person with
real fears and real needs.
He brought this philosophy to Kennesaw, Georgia, where
he’s been putting it to practice since 1986.
But learning doesn’t stop here. Dr. Amason averages
a hundred hours of continuing education every year,
far more than required by the State of Georgia, just
to make sure he and his staff knows the latest answers
and stay on top of the newest solutions for your dental
needs.
